Search Engine Optimization and Traffic

SEO is a fascinating progression of technology and innovation that is probably best said to have peaked not climaxed due to the continued developments in the tech world and the expanding learning resources available from current progress in this field. How can we understand SEO as it relates to everyday Web-searches and Optimization for better results in Webpage rankings, Article Posts but specifically “Traffic” which is our main focus here.

SEO as it relates to traffic is the process of increasing the volume of quality visitors to a decided upon; Website, Web-Page, Landing Page etc. Typically the higher the site appears in the search results the more visitors it will receive from the search engine.

So What Is A Search Engine?

Good question, a web search engine is a tool, its purpose is to search for information on the World Wide Web. The information it finds is presented in a list called (Hits). Search Engines collect for Data Bases and Open Directories and in our concern Web Directories. The process they use is called Algorithm. This is a method of solving problems using a finite sequence of instructions.

Search Engines are instructed to go look for Headings, Titles, Images, Text, Video etc. They also have random algorithms that allow random ability to search almost everything contained on the WWW. Bots and spiders to crawl sites are terms associated with SEO. Search engine capability has progressed immensely over the last 15 years.

Ways To Optimizes For Traffic

As a Strategy, think of SEO this way, consider what people as a whole are looking for within your topic, that dictates the optimization necessary in the html code of your website, the text in your headlines and the body of article posts you produce.

Don’t forget To Use;

A. Keywords- Topic related
B. Meta Tags- html code in headline
C. Unpaid methods or (organic or algorithm)
D. Paid methods (SEM) search engine marketing.

Does this make sense, the engines are looking for relevance, they will reward you for your efforts by ranking your site higher and causing more “Traffic” and recognition within your Niche market. Then your visitors, (Traffic) will increase and have a chance to see that you have something of value and they need to view it.

The Importance of On-Page Site Links in Google SEO Results

On-Site content links have quickly become an important part of any good Google SEO effort. Not all links are created equal in that we have derived a link strategy that has proven very successful in our SEO results. Go through each page’s content and find the keywords that best match the keywords used in other pages within your website.

Don’t rush through the process, as taking the time to properly use all of the attributes will give your SEO efforts a lift. Make sure to include a title attribute in each HTML link which should match the landing page’s file name, keywords and content.

Ideally if your web site is about apples, and in the content you create a link to one of your pages about red apples, make sure the page that the link points to is called red-apples.HTML, php or asp, and that the keywords and content of that page are also about red apples. Don’t forget to include in the title attribute of the link a useful description about the landing page’s topic. An example link from one page to the other could be as follows.

Keeping all of the elements in line tells a search engine more-so than a visitor that the link refers to a page about red apples. Just remember that most web developers who even declare the title attribute tend to undercut their power by not focusing it properly.

A focused on-page link can boost both the overall web site’s relevance value and the destination page. Don’t rush and take your time creating a few good links to other pages on your site. This strategy work well in conjunction with your regular navigation links but should not be your main navigational page strategy. A good navigational menu goes a long way along with on-page links.

Keeping Your Mental Edge When Starting Your Business

Any start-up, whether web-based or a brick and mortar business, is a tough proposition. The fact is that most businesses fail. The best advice a new business-owner can get is two simple words – be patient. Patience is the key to a successful start up.

When a business is starting out, you have to weather difficult times. That’s the only way the business is going to improve.”You may have heard stories of overnight success, but these are the exception and not the rule. If you’re expecting an overnight success, you’re going to be disappointed, which means you’re going to give up prematurely.
Being patient is easier said than done, however. What happens if in the first six months of a business, you are continually losing money? What happens if your site traffic has hit a lull?

Take someone who has started up a string of affiliate sites. He has followed all of the recommendations: designed quality sites, signed up for affiliate programs with good payouts and keeps the sites updated with traffic. Still, nothing much is happening with the sites. What can a small business owner do if things aren’t initially going his way? In addition to patience, any business owner needs adaptability.

Adapting to Difficulty
On this site, you’ll find info about how entrepreneurs need to be headstrong and willful. Don’t confuse this with being wholly inflexible and uncompromising. There’s great value in having a vision, but as they say, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”

If you aren’t able to adapt to a changing marketplace, you can’t hope to excel as a business leader. There are many roads towards bringing a vision to fruition, so you should never stick to one game plan, especially if things are not going well.

Take the above example. There’s always more work that business owner could be doing. The fact that the business hasn’t taken off is proof enough that more needs to be done. He could direct his content on the site towards specific keywords, using multimedia, such as video. He could add forums to the site or find places to advertise and exchange links, to name a few possible solutions. When a business is starting out, you have to weather difficult times. That’s the only way the business is going to improve.

A good business leader does not just project long-term hopes and dreams — he’s good at recognizing and fixing problems. Be certain that problems are going to arise. There has never been a business that didn’t experience a few hiccups along the way.

Learning from mistakes is an essential part of growth. A business leader must have a balance between confidence and the ability to see when things are not working. Having a healthy balance between those two traits will give you a strong mental edge as the business gets rolling.

Ecommerce Business Plans
A web-based business has a few distinct advantages. Since ecommerce is far less expensive than running a brick and mortar business, you have much more time to steadily build up a consumer base before you start to panic. This does not mean, however, that you shouldn’t always be looking for new ways to improve. You could take this advice and think that all ecommerce businesses are slow-growth opportunities. Ebusinesses will grow according to how much work you put in. The truth is you should always be looking for ways to change and improve, even if you’ve had a stellar first quarter. Business should always be evolving.

So long as you take these above issues to heart, you’ll have a mental edge when starting a business. This is true if you’re running a brick and mortar business, which has greater start-up costs. The same issues apply — increased advertising, new products and so on.

Strength isn’t about always being right, but also about admitting when you’re wrong. You have the will to sustain the lean years. This is what it is to be battle-tested, and so long as you handle these problems effectively and quickly, you will be much better suited to being a leader in your chosen field.

Affiliate Marketing Success Stories
When you’re feeling really down and out of luck, it’s a good idea to read through past affiliate marketer success stories to remind yourself that hard work does actually pay off. Take the successes of such websites as HollywoodVideo.com, JogTunes.com, or Jason Calacanis, the mind behind Engadget.com and AutoBlog.com.

What all of those sites have in common is appeal to a specific niche, as well as useful and entertaining content. They’re so well entrenched that people may not even realize that they are visiting an affiliate site.

This is what you should be striving for — not just profits but a complete web presence. The two go hand in hand. Truth be told, it’s a much more competitive industry than when a site like Engadget first came on board. However, this does not mean there aren’t niche networks waiting to be fulfilled.

Seven Tips for Setting Up Your Small Business

Each year, more and more people make the transition from working for the “man” to working for themselves. They gather up the courage to start their own small businesses and win, lose or draw, they give it their best shot.

“Check the local newspaper for business ideas. Make sure you are passionate about what you are going to be doing. In the words of the Groovie Ghoulies, “Be passionate, love what you do. Be passionate, or don’t do nothing at all!””Some flourish and some fail, but they all take their shot at freedom. If you’ve been wanting to start your own small business but not sure how, here are seven tips to help get you started on the path to living the life you’ve always wanted.
Tip No. 1 — Deciding on the Type of Business
Well, the first step in starting your business is deciding the type of business you want. Do you want to make money-selling goods online? Do you want to earn commissions working as an affiliate for a wide number of merchants?

Deciding what you want to do is, and always will be, step one. Check the local newspaper for business ideas. Make sure you are passionate about what you are going to be doing. In the words of the Groovie Ghoulies, “Be passionate, love what you do. Be passionate, or don’t do nothing at all!”

Tip No. 2 — Research your Business Idea
Do your own research to see how others in your chosen field are making money. Buy magazines, visit websites and blogs and discover how others did it before you. You can even ask others in your field for advice or inspiration. Analyze the success of your competition and see what you can do differently to enhance your potential.

Tip No. 3 — Register Your Business Name
Register your business name. Once you decide what type of business entity you’re going to be, whether a sole proprietorship, a partnership or LLC, follow your state’s guidelines for registering the business and/or its name. Once your name is registered, purchase the domain name for it. You can also open up a checking account dedicated exclusively to the business.

Tip No. 4 — Work Smart
Start your small business while you still are working your full-time job. Sure, it will be a lot of extra work, but you want to be sure that this endeavor is going to work, don’t you? Once your small business finds a footing, then you can make the decision to take it full time. Until that happens, it’s nice to get a regular paycheck!

Tip No. 5 — Keep Your Credit in Check
Next, you’ll want to check your credit to make sure it’s in good shape. While your company is young, your personal credit will be the deciding factor when trying to get credit for the company. If your credit is not that great, work on making it better. Until then, you must use more of your personal cash for financing your
endeavors. That’s another reason to keep the day job early on.

Tip No. 6 — Learn the Financial Risks of Starting a Business
Take the time to learn all of the benefits and risks your company can pose to your financial well being. Seek professional guidance in the areas of law and taxes to protect your personal assets as well as possible. Determine how you are going to manage such things like health and life insurance.

Tip No. 7 — Never Give Up on Your Small Business
This is quite possibly the most important tip. There may be times when you have to adjust your way of doing things or change your entire business model, but don’t give up on the dream of running your own small business.

Successful small businesses don’t happen overnight. They take time to make an impression in the marketplace. Have the patience, the drive and the desire and eventually, your small business will begin to provide the results of which you’ve always dreamed.

How To Make Money From Home Using Affiliate Marketing

It’s the dream of millions of people across the globe — to be able to make money without ever leaving home. In the past, thousands of people have fallen victim to various get-rich-quick schemes. With that said, the very mention of making money from home using the Internet may be enough to cause some people to cower away in a corner.

“In affiliate marketing there is one rule — drive traffic! The more traffic you get to your website, the more people see the advertisements and the better your chances are at converting a sale and making money.”The truth is, you really can make money from home using the Internet, and best of all, it’s totally legal and proven effective! It’s through the time-tested method of Affiliate Marketing.

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate Marketing, also called Internet Marketing, is a method that many companies use to get their product or service out in front of as many potential customers as possible. The means? They use the websites of those people who sign up as affiliates. Here’s how it works:

When you operate your own website, it’s basically like owning your own slice of cyber-real estate. On the Internet, every web page is a property and you have the opportunity to place advertisements on your stretch of I-95.

If you use a particular product that you are extremely fond of, you can visit the company’s website. On the website, the company may have an affiliate link for you to sign up and help advertise their products or services. Once approved as one of their “affiliates,” you will then be able to place their advertisement on your website.

For every sale that the company makes through customers referred from your website, you make a commission. The amount of that commission varies greatly between companies.

Affiliates can also sign up for a number of opportunities through certain affiliate network companies. These companies work as a third party and often provide a wide range of companies offering affiliate programs. When you wish to become an affiliate, you apply with the company and then in most cases, they review your website and grant your approval.

How to Maximize Your Affiliate Marketing Income!

In affiliate marketing there is one rule — drive traffic! The more traffic you get to your website, the more people see the advertisements and the better your chances are at converting a sale and making money.

Of course, driving the traffic can be the source of much confusion and frustration. However, the trick on the Internet, as everywhere else in marketing, it that content is king!

It’s true, your website will eventually see an increase in visitors if you routinely provide fresh, relevant content on your website. It doesn’t happen overnight, but it will happen. As you continually add keyword-rich, Google-friendly articles and other forms of helpful content, your website will gradually rise in the search engine rankings. Combine that with audio and video and your website will soon see a boost in unique visitors — each one a potential sale.

The key is to keep everything relevant. To hit your target audience, the advertisements you choose should be related to the content on your website. For example, if you operate a website about tomorrow’s technology, you don’t want to have advertisements for products like clothing or shoes.

You want to offer your audience products that they may find useful, like gadgets or software. This increases your chances of making money as an affiliate. You can also add clickable links throughout the website’s copy that when clicked will take readers directly to your merchants under your affiliate tag.

The Truth About Affiliate Marketing!

Affiliate marketing is a fantastic way to make money from the comfort of your own home, doing no more than managing a few websites. However, understand that it does take some time before you begin seeing substantial income. Your website or blog has to become established and continually bring in unique visitors.

You shouldn’t expect to become an overnight millionaire using Affiliate Marketing. In truth however, once you get everything up and running, you can definitely have an easy source of additional income flowing into your bank account every month. That is the dream after all, isn’t it?

You’re Only ONE Well-Converting Offer Away From Making Real Money Online…

This may sound completely ridiculous, but all it took to accomplish this was to change one line of text and delete a paragraph.

That’s seriously all I did.

But it wasn’t an accident…

No – what I did was make a few changes that I knew would effect my sales (see why below), and then I just sat back and watched the newfound profits roll in.

You see, over the last few years I’ve developed a very simple, systematic way to make any of my sites more profitable by simply tweaking certain things, and then letting my traffic tell me what’s working and what’s not.

This works for ANY site. Affiliate sites, sites that sell a product – any site.

Even low-traffic sites – (I have a special process for optimizing those as well…)

It’s completely foolproof – and this “tactic” is also, without a doubt, the fastest possible way to realistically multiply your current income in as little as a few weeks – without generating any more traffic than you already have…

Curious to see how this works?
