The Two Biggest Reasons Why Most People Will Never Make a Full-Time Income Online…

It all starts when some well-meaning (yet misdirected) person encourages a budding internet entrepreneur to “start in a niche they know alot about”, or base their business around “something they’re passionate about”…

As horrible as it may sound – they’ve unknowingly sent the hopeful entrepreneur down a path of false expectations, poor results and eventually – failure. In fact, the myth of “do what you love and the money will follow” has been responsible for more failure than likely any other influence – perhaps even more so than laziness or a lack of perseverance.

Because the simple truth of the matter is that the only way you’re going to make real money on the net is if your business is based around two crucial things:

1) Large Demand

2) Buyers

In other words – you aren’t going to get rich selling a $15 ebook about growing square watermelons – even though that might be a great passion of yours.

The demand just isn’t there. Maybe there’s a few searches a day on Google for the topic, and perhaps there’s some interest in the online “gardening enthusiast” communities – but you’d be hard-pressed to make even a few hundred dollars a month from ebook sales.

Similarly, you also aren’t going to have a particularly easy time getting rich by building websites about some seemingly “popular” topics like humor, jokes, funny pictures and so on. And while there are a few ways to “monetize” your site (with AdSense, CPA Offers, CPM Banners, etc.), it takes literally millions of website visitors to make even just a few thousand dollars in markets like that.

The demand is huge – but the visitor value is extremely low…

Instead, if you want to make it big online – pulling down an impressive six-figure income – you need to tap into markets with tons of demand, where the majority of the visitors are valuable.

You need to capture tons of traffic that wants to buy something. If you take this approach, you’d practically have to hijack your own order links (or affiliate links) not to make a sizeable income.

In fact – did you know that some affiliates make several thousand dollars daily just by promoting a single product in hot markets? (Just imagine what the merchant is making…)

In some markets there’s actually so much demand that the vendors are quite literally selling over a thousand units – or more – per day. Digital products, with practically zero overhead/delivery cost.

But it all comes back to tapping into valuable demand. In most cases, it takes no extra effort or “skill” to market to a valuable market than it does to struggle along with something you’re passionate about.

These two factors – demand and buying traffic – are what seperate the “wannabe” marketers from the millionaires. Because there’s no real secret – you just need to sell what thousands of people are already buying.

The ball is now officially in your court. Are you tapping into markets with massive, valuable demand?

Or are you struggling to simply make a few dollars occasionally with a business that’s based on your own passionate interests?

Step By Step Guide to Optimizing Your Website

When you become an internet marketer, you want to have a website that will be visible to as many people as possible. This will make or break your success in selling the products you promote on your page. One of the best ways to get your website noticed is ensuring your site is search engine optimized (SEO).

“When creating the URL of your website and web pages, be sure to use these keywords. You want your site’s URL easy to remember as well as attractive to search engine robots.”

Customizing your Website for SEO

The first thing you must do is find out popular keywords relevant to your products. You can use an online keyword tool or program, which will display all relevant keywords on your topic and how many people have searched for it. Take the first few keywords to focus on in customizing your website.

When creating the URL of your website and web pages, be sure to use these keywords. You want your site’s URL easy to remember as well as attractive to search engine robots.

For every page you have on your website, you should use a keyword in the page title. These page titles are the first thing SEO spiders look for and will display them on the search engine results page.

Meta descriptions for your page are exclusively for search engines. This script, which is invisible to visitors to your site, will include your primary keyword and relevant keywords in a description about your site. Make sure not to include a keyword more than three times in the description or it will not be used.

Whenever you have a description or article on your site, be sure to include a list of Meta tags or keywords at the end.

Many people who have simple websites do not believe they need a sitemap. However, sitemaps are not only for navigation purposes for your site, it is also for the search engine spider. A sitemap will guide it through your site so it picks up as much information as possible.

SEO Content for Your Website

Search engines want fresh content, so it is imperative you update your site regularly with articles or a blog. When you place articles on your site or blog, make sure to incorporate relevant keywords to your products in them. Subheadings with keywords are also important. It is also important to include links to other pages on your website in your blog and articles. Finally, add images with ALT text that include keywords.

Following these steps will make your website attractive to the all mighty search engine spider cache. It may take some time before your website receives a page rank, but with time and marketing efforts, you will see your traffic increase and so will your revenue.

How to draw attention to your website

The most important thing when it comes to making a successful site is good quality content. But the content isn’t everything. You also have to put great emphasis on the packaging and promotion of your content. I mean what is the point of having great content if no one sees it.

“The most important thing when it comes to making a successful site is good quality content. But the content isn’t everything. You also have to put great emphasis on the packaging and promotion of your content. I mean what is the point of having great content if no one sees it.”A very effective way to draw attention to your site is link baiting. This means writing content that others find interesting, exciting or useful and will link to from their own sites. If you succeed in doing this you will both get traffic directly from the links and if enough people link to you will also manage to rank high in search engines such as Google on things that relate to the content of your site. By building links the awareness of you website is bound to increase.

The title is the key
So how to you create good link baits? Well, the key is a catch title. To draw attention to your text piece you want it to be rated high at social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Delicious and Reddit. This rating is based on the votes cast by the users at these sites. Many of them will only see your title in a list when they vote at it, which makes the title far more important than the rest of the text.

Once you have decided on a catchy title it is really important that the text delivers the things that the title promises. There is nothing more irritating than reading a text to discover that it doesn’t contain what you expected. Only give promises you can deliver in the title.

Content is still king
Once you have a good title you should write a text that is focused and to the point on the subject. You have to deliver what you have promised in the title. This is very important. People don’t read texts in online in the same way as they read a book or a magazine. Online, people skim texts and want to find what they look for fast. Use short paragraphs and sub-headers in order to make it easy for the visitor to get a grasp of the text.

The subject of your text can be basically anything, but should have some connection to the things you promote on your site. To find the right angle for your piece you can use a hook.

There are several different hooks that can be used:

News hook, be the first to write about something and you are sure to get loads of links.
Resource hook, practical and useful articles or a compilation of useful information regarding your area of interest.
Humor hook, this can be pictures, texts or list were you make fun of things regarding your niche. Everybody loves a good laugh. And if others in your field recognize themselves in your humor hook they will often link to it.
Contrary hook, kill a myth or take a different stance in an issue of interest in your niche.

If you have found the right hook and have created a piece that you think will take the world by storm you have to make sure that other people find it and link to it.

Push your piece
Post it on social bookmarking sites such Digg and Delicious etc. Email a link to your link bait to others in your particular field. Post links in blog comments on blogs that write about the same subjects.

If you use your imagination you will see that there are numerous of ways to get others to notice your stuff. The most important stuff is to get there attention and if the content you have created is good enough the rest will follow.

SEO Basics For Your Website

Website and SEO go hand in hand. SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is what attracts traffic to your website. Traffic to your website is what gets clicks on your advertisers’ ads and clicks on your advertisers’ ads is what makes you money.

“When you discover which keywords generate the most hits, you can saturate future content.”This being the case, it’s easy to see that to have a successful affiliate website, you must master SEO. There are some basics you need to understand about SEO to be successful. I’ll follow up this article yet another two on the same subject.

SEO Basics: Keywords
Keyword Planning

Your most important weapon in the battle to have a successful affiliate website is keyword planning. This means figuring out which keywords people plug into search engines. These people will be interested in your advertisers’ products and services. The more and better placed your relevant keywords, the more search engine hits you are likely to get.

Generating Keywords

You can generate keywords in a number of ways. Free analytic programs on the web can collect metrics for your site and tell you which keywords most commonly bring traffic. When you discover which keywords generate the most hits, you can saturate future content. There are also free programs that take the most popular keywords and generate keyword phrases designed to bring even more traffic.

Keyword Research

Another method you can use for generating effective keywords is research. Type in a few relevant keywords and see which sites come up. Head over to those sites and look for other commonly repeated words. These may be good keywords to use for your own site, if you haven’t already. Try them out and if you don’t see an improvement in traffic, you can always replace them with more effective ones later.

The Value of Keyword Planning

Good keyword planning does not guarantee a successful affiliate website, but you will be hard pressed to have a successful site without it. Keyword optimization is the foundation of SEO. Once you have gained some expertise with keyword planning, you will be ready to take additional steps in maximizing the success of your affiliate site.

The more social bookmarking sites you have backing up your website, the more traffic you are likely to get.”The fact is that there are many affiliates out there competing for traffic and the best ones are always doing everything they can think of to expand their visitor base. Once the site is worth visiting, the next thing to do to get more visitors is to take advantage of social bookmarking sites. This is my second article on SEO and next week I’ll post my third and last article on the subject. Hopefully you’ll snap up a thing or two.

How Social Bookmarking Works

Social bookmarking sites, like StumbleUpon, Digg and Technorati, are essentially websites that find other websites for you. A lot of web users have fairly short attention spans and are always on the lookout for something new.

Web users want to jump online and immediately find an interesting new site that they haven’t seen before. They may also want to share cool sites with others. Social bookmarking sites facilitate this process.

Social Bookmarking Sites and SEO

How does this fit in with your affiliate site? The answer should be obvious. The more social bookmarking sites you have backing up your website, the more traffic you are likely to get. If you’re looking to increase traffic, submit your site to as many social bookmarking sites as possible. Encourage those who visit your site to recommend it on the social bookmarking site. In this way, you can build a visitor base exponentially if your site has enough appeal.

You should also use these sites to see what is out there yourself. You’ll gain credibility on the bookmarking site and you may find opportunities for more SEO tool application, such as link building.

Social Networking Sites

It also doesn’t hurt to have a presence on social networking sites like Facebook or MySpace. The larger your presence on the web, the better your chance of making the connections that will cause your affiliate website to explode in popularity.

Search engines use the number of inbound links that a web page has to determine the importance of the page.”

Link Building and SEO

Link building is the key to really making your affiliate website take off. Link building is simply creating a situation in which multiple websites link to yours. Search engines use the number of inbound links that a web page has to determine the importance of the page. This is a key factor in determining how high your page will appear in the search engine rankings.

Link Building Methods

You can use a number of methods for link building. One of the most popular is a link exchange. Visit a website you like, perhaps even one with content similar to your own, and message the webmaster of your interest in a link exchange.

If he or she is amenable, that site posts your link in his or her list of sites to visit, and you do the same. You can amass a great many inbound links in a short time in this way. You can also provide free content containing your link. That is to say, if you post a lot of information on your website that other sites may want to use on their own sites, be sure to include your link so people will link to you and build up your credibility with the search engines.

Link Building Pitfalls

While it may be tempting, you should try to avoid creating multiple websites with the sole purpose of creating interconnected inbound links. Search engines are wary of this tactic and you may not get the search engine results you want. You may even get banned from search engine rankings for excessive practice of this method, so be careful about this.

Key Success Factors For Optimizing Your Website

According to most experts, the majority of website traffic is generated from just a handful of search engines. Since search traffic is so vital to the success of your business, it is important to earn a high search rank for the key terms that your target customers use in the search engines. How can you accomplish this task? While there are many websites out there competing for the attention of the same viewers, applying a few simple website optimization tips can dramatically increase your search rankings and site traffic.

“While a particular keyword may receive a large number of searches each month, it may not be the right choice for you. Instead of going after the most searched keywords, consider selecting keywords and phrases that are slightly less popular and feature far less competition.”Optimize Your Website With Keyword Research
Initial research is a key success factor that you simply should not overlook. In order to target the right words and phrases, develop the appropriate website content and truly understand what your customers are looking for on the web, you need to spend some time researching search terms and consumer trends.

There are plenty of great keyword research tools out there, but the real key to success is knowing how to use them. After entering a potential keyword, take a critical look at the suggestions. Make a list of the potential keywords that seem to be the most promising.

Next, perform a little keyword competition analysis. While a particular keyword may receive a large number of searches each month, it may not be the right choice for you. Instead of going after the most searched keywords, consider selecting keywords and phrases that are slightly less popular and feature far less competition. While there may be fewer people searching for these terms and phrases, you will be more likely to rank high and achieve better traffic results.

Remember That Content Development Is An Essential Key To Success
After you have chosen some keywords and keyword phrases, the next step is to develop website content around those particular search terms. Whether you choose to create your own content or outsource it to a professional writer, always remember to optimize your copy for the web.

Include your key phrase within the first three sentences and keep paragraphs relatively brief. Utilize subheads and bulleted lists to make content more readable and be sure to use your key phrase between five to seven times throughout the page text.

Successful content development involves more than simply creating articles devoted to a specific keyword or phrase. It is also important to create links between related articles on your website. Rather than write just one article on a particular topic, develop a whole collection of related articles that can be cross-linked to maximize search results and website traffic.

Most importantly, only focus on one keyword per page. Trying to optimize for multiple search terms on a single page can hamper your results.

Always Optimize Every Page For Search
Upon developing the content, it is time to publish and optimize your web pages. While it may be tempting to simply cut-and-paste your copy onto the site, making a few simple tweaks can significantly improve your results. A few of the key success factors that can make all the difference are to optimize your title tag, META data, subheads and links.

Start by creating a title tag that incorporates your keyword, but is also appealing to online readers. Next, write a META description that mentions your keyword in the first 60 characters and include your target keywords in the META tag section. Finally, be sure to include your chosen keyword or phrase into the subtitles and anchor text of on-page and off-page links.

While optimizing your website may require some additional time and energy, the potential benefits are well worth the effort. In addition to improving your search ranking and attracting more traffic, website optimization can dramatically improve your business branding and online sales. Start implementing some of these key success factors today in order to make the most of website optimization.

MAKE MONEY WITH EBAY THE EASY WAY

I read a lot of sales pages where people promise to expose Guru’s scams but they never deliver this guy is the real deal.

If eBay Is So Easy – Why Aren’t All eBay Sellers Millionaires?

It’s a fact that it is much easier to make money now than it has ever been. And the reason is the internet …

The internet enables ANYONE to set up their “shop” (website) for very little cost. You DON’T need to pay for a physical office or shop. Your market is NOT restricted to just those people in your local community who happen to walk past your shop. You can sell products or services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to the WHOLE on-line world. It doesn’t matter WHO you are or WHERE you live.

But you need technical knowledge to be able to set up a commercial website that is capable of processing customer orders (or you need to pay someone else a lot of money to do it for you). And if you don’t get any traffic (visitors) to your website you won’t make any sales, no matter how good your website is. And as the internet expands and develops, getting traffic to your site is becoming more and more COMPLICATED and EXPENSIVE to achieve.

But eBay REMOVES the two main problems of starting up an internet business by providing you with a ready-made commercial website AND as much traffic as you will ever need! And eBay makes it so easy that anyone, regardless of their technical ability, can set up a FREE eBay account with just a few mouse clicks – all they need is access to a computer connected to the internet.

But whilst it’s very easy to set up an eBay business, it’s NOT so easy to set up a SUCCESSFUL and PROFITABLE eBay business. Many have tried – and failed – to make a living on eBay. And of those who do make a living on eBay – many are, in effect, working FOR eBay by generating lots of eBay fees – often earning LESS than the minimum wage because they work LONG hours listing and fulfilling their orders.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. It IS possible to set up and run an eBay business that MAXIMIZES your income while MINIMIZING your effort. Maximizing your income will give you a HIGH standard of living. And minimizing your effort will give you a HIGH quality of life. All you need is someone to SHOW you how.

So if you are thinking about starting an eBay business, or you already have an eBay business but aren’t getting the results you desire yet, then I have the answer for you …

Before he set up his own eBay business, Martyn Boaden spent a small fortune acquiring EVERY ebook, CD and DVD that he could find on making money on eBay. But Martyn didn’t just want to make a living on eBay – he wanted to make lots of money for very little effort!

So he also studied the “secrets” of Direct Response Marketing which many, MANY ordinary people used to quietly amass huge fortunes, long before eBay – and even the internet – were ever dreamed of. Incredibly, most of the authors of all those ebooks that he read didn’t seem to know anything about these direct response marketing secrets, even though eBay is the PERFECT market to apply them to.

He spent months and months applying and testing everything that he learned to discover what does – and what doesn’t – work on eBay today to maximize his income while minimizing his effort.
And fortunately for us, he has crammed all that research he did in to “The Lazy Way To Wealth On eBay” which must be the most comprehensive eBay Business Manual that I have ever seen!

It doesn’t just include EVERY single hint, tip, secret, strategy and tactic (that actually work) from all those ebooks, CDs and DVDs. It also includes the Direct Response Marketing secrets that work so well on eBay.

So now EVERYTHING you need to know to set up and run a SUCCESSFUL and PROFITABLE eBay business to maximize your income while minimizing your effort today is packed in to one convenient resource. And you can get INSTANT ACCESS to it all for an INCREDIBLY SMALL investment.

Wealthy Mindset: A Skill You Must Have If You Want to Be Rich

The key to successful wealth creation is not your intelligence, your abilities, your contacts or your networks, your age, your gender or any of these factors. The reason is glaringly apparent when you observe rich and successful people. You can easily see that the individuals who have created wealth in their lives come in all shapes, sizes and background.

There are smart people who are rich and there are “not so intelligent” people who are rich, There are people who come from extremely poor circumstance to become rich and there are those to rise to even higher heights after being born with a silver spoon in the mouth. There really is no apparent pattern when you look at wealthy people on the surface.

However, it is my firm belief that wealthy people have something inside in common. I believe its in the mindset. A common pattern of beliefs, values and motivating factors that is at the root of their success. I believe that if we could “see” the mindset of people, we would be able to easily distinguish between “the wealth creators” and the “average Joe’s” who will just get by in life.

So continuing my series of short videos on trying to expose the wealth mindset, I want to share a video that explores a special skill that is essential in the wealth creation process. It starts with an “s”.

Enjoy…
